The Main Office (formerly known as the Administration Building) served as the administrative hub of the Taipei Railway Workshop and was the primary gateway for accessing the entire site. Completed in 1935, it functioned as the Workshop’s central administrative space until operations were relocated to the Taipei Rolling Stock Workshop in Fugang. Today, the restored first floor of the Main Office has been transformed into an exhibition area open to the public, featuring on-site exhibitions, permanent exhibitions, and special exhibitions.

The on-site exhibition area includes the former Director Office, Deputy Director Office, conference room, and the cashier section under the General Affairs Office. To help visitors experience the atmosphere of the original working environment, original furniture left behind after the Workshop’s relocation has been carefully collected, restored, and repurposed as display pieces, recreating the historical ambiance of the office in its earlier days.

Director Office: This space recreates the look and feel of the Director’s office at the Taipei Railway Workshop during the 1960s–1970s. The extensive use of solid wood furniture and refined décor conveys the authority of the Director as a leader. The office also symbolizes the Workshop’s crucial role in Taiwan’s railway modernization and technological innovation.
