8/2 (Sat.) 13:00–15:00On-site exhibition “Lifescape in the Main Hall”
The Main Hall of the Taipei Railway Workshop was once a vital place for workers’ daily life, gatherings, and recreation. The on-site exhibition Lifescape in the Main Hall preserves the hall’s original spatial character and, together with rare historical photographs, introduces visitors to its background, former functions, and the everyday memories of the workers who spent time there.
The Workers’ Dining Experience invites visitors to experience the daily life of past workers through an interactive activity. Former kitchen staff of the Taipei Railway Workshop will share first-hand stories of working in the canteen, while a clay art instructor will guide participants in recreating classic dishes once served to the workers — all crafted in clay. This hands-on workshop brings to life the warmth of dining life in the Main Hall and deepens understanding of workers’ culture.
